About Helios

In the sprawl of the 'verse, HELIOS operates as a collective of pilots and specialists who value reliability, teamwork, and a good time in equal measure. We're not a militia, not a megacorp, just a crew that takes pride in getting the job done and enjoying the journey.

Our name, Hyperspace Exploration, Logistics, and Interstellar Operations Specialists, reflects what we're about: running efficient operations across the 'verse without turning the game into a second shift. We build enough structure to keep missions smooth and organized, but not so much that you're filling out forms to undock.

What we actually do

We run scheduled ops most weeks, plus training sessions and plenty of pickup runs when people are just online and looking to group up. Combat and industrial gameplay both get real attention here, and our favorite nights are the ones that blend them, combat wings clearing the field while industrial crews move in to recover, refine, and profit.

Ship combat, FPS, mining, salvage, hauling, crafting, contested zones, big events, we run all of it. Not every member does everything, and nobody's expected to.

Your time actually counts for something

This is the part most orgs skip. HELIOS tracks participation through a shares and points system, and it's fully transparent. Show up, contribute, and you get a proportional piece of what the org earns.

A few things we stand by
  • We do not run official piracy operations.
  • Members are free to pursue their own fun, as long as it doesn't cross into griefing or harassment.
  • Anyone using the HELIOS name to ruin someone else's night won't be wearing the tag for long.
  • We're an 18+ org.
Who fits here

People who want to learn, share knowledge, and grow regardless of skill level. People who enjoy the teamwork and social side of the game as much as the gameplay itself. Someone who can shift between "let's run this clean" and "welp, that exploded, moving on" without missing a beat. If you help keep things calm and welcoming, you'll fit right in.

Our goal isn't to be the biggest org. It's to create memorable, social, and genuinely fun experiences. The kind where a routine contract becomes a story because people worked together, adapted on the fly, and made something cool out of it.

Whether you want to fly gunships, run salvage lines, escort convoys, crack rocks, or try your hand at all of it, HELIOS is a place to do it with a reliable crew that respects your time. If you're looking for a group that balances structure with freedom, and values good people above perfect runs, there's always room in the formation.

Operations
Active Hours

HELIOS runs primarily during US evenings and nights, with activity picking up sharply in the back half of the week and through the weekend. We also have a growing contingent of Australian members filling in the off-peak hours.

PT 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM
MT 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM
CT 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM
ET 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM
UTC 1:00 AM – 10:00 AM
CET 2:00 AM – 11:00 AM
SGT 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
AEST 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

These reflect peak activity windows. Members are online at all hours, just less predictably outside this range.

Group Structure

On a typical active night you'll find three to six people floating around in voice, running whatever they feel like. Scheduled ops usually pull six to ten actively participating, which is enough to properly crew multi-crew ships and run coordinated operations.

We're steadily growing toward multiple squads running simultaneously across different game loops, and larger coordinated ops when the content calls for it. Multi-crew ships and large-scale events reward proper crew sizes, and we want to be ready for them.

Scheduled Ops & Pickup Groups

We run scheduled ops most weeks, usually a couple of planned operations plus training sessions, and we're actively expanding into more Australian-friendly time slots. Alongside that, organic pickup sessions happen constantly. Jump in Discord, see who's on, and roll out. No sign-up sheets, no mandatory attendance.

When an op is running and the crew is ready, we start on time. We respect the schedules of those who showed up prepared.

What We Do

HELIOS has active experience across the full range of current Star Citizen content. A typical week might cover bounty runs, a mining op, a Wikelo grind, and someone pulling the group into a global event at 1 AM. Here's what we actually run:

  • Combat & Bounty Hunting: NPC and player bounties, security contracts, FPS missions, and ship-to-ship engagements across Stanton, Pyro, and Nyx
  • Mining: ship and ROC/FPS ground mining across multiple systems. Material quality feeds directly into crafting, which makes ore runs genuinely worth doing
  • Salvage: hull scraping, wreck recovery, and component reclamation
  • Cargo & Hauling: commodity trading, contract hauling, and logistics support for org ops and Wikelo runs
  • Crafting: blueprints earned from missions and Breaker Stations, materials gathered through mining, crafted into FPS weapons, armor, and ship components with stats tied directly to material quality. Everything we craft feeds our org inventory
  • Contested Zones: high risk PvPvE areas holding some of the best loot and rarest components in the game
  • QV Breaker Stations & PvPvE Content: multi-stage instanced missions. Fight through hostile resistance inside derelict industrial sites, restore power, and extract valuable minerals. Exactly the kind of content that rewards a coordinated group
  • Wikelo & Trade Economy: delivering specific materials and items to Wikelo's Emporium in exchange for rare ships, weapons, armor, and components, a reward loop that ties multiple game loops together
  • Global Events & Tactical Strike Groups: recurring large-scale events that reward coordination and player counts, including the Tactical Strike Group system built specifically for org-sized fleet operations
Fleet

We field a well-rounded mix of ships covering every role we run, from capital-class vessels down through gunships, fighters, haulers, and dedicated industrial platforms. Between the membership there's almost always the right ship available for whatever an op calls for.

We're not chasing the biggest fleet number. We're building the right mix for the ops we actually want to run, and no member is ever expected to own anything specific to take part.

Training & New Players

We actively share knowledge. Tips, mechanics, game loop deep dives, and hands-on guidance for anyone who wants it. We run scheduled training sessions, and one-on-one sessions are always available if you'd rather go through something at your own pace. Training is never required, but it's always there.

Whether you have 1,000 hours or just bought your first ship, you'll find people here who are happy to fly with you and show you the ropes, without making you feel like you're behind.
